RCD08 Diamondcut Router Bits Feeds and Speeds for Double-sided Copperclad FR-4 and Carbon-fiber Composites
This feeds and speeds table was compiled routing premium grade double-sided 1-ounce (37micron) copperclad with a 0.059" (1.5mm) thick FR-4 core using RCD08 family diamondcut router bits. The data can also be applied to cutting carbon-fiber composites, but shorter tool lives should be expected.
Extension of this data to other substrates and/or router bits from other manufacturers should be undertaken with caution
Please note that if your machine doesn't support the listed RPM that doesn't mean you can't use the tool.
To calculate your feed, multiply your RPM by the the total chipload listed.
Example: If your are using the 0.80mm tool from below and your max RPM is 20k then:
20000 * 0.00033 = 6.6 inches per minute
To insure optimum tool life and the best quality of cut, please run a sweet-spot test on all new materials!
